Classiq has grown to become a force to reckon with in the Nigerian music industry, with his style of rap which has a fusion of the northern/Hausa dialect giving raise to one of the few rappers representing the north with that ''indigenous rap'' genre. The Arewa Mafia has returned with a new extended play after two successful singles Gudu featuring MI Abaga and Culture (Gargajiya) in the year 2018 and the EP is titled ''New North.''
