Papi – Whine Am

“Yima Ayu” better known by his stage name “PAPI”, is a Rapper, singer/songwriter, record producer and audio engineer from Benue state, Nigeria. ‘Papi’ started composing playful songs at the age of six, not known to him that he will later pursue a career in music.

Having completed his education as an audio engineer at the prestigious SAE institute in London with the likes of L. Marshall, He decided to move back to Abuja, Nigeria to further his career in music. He has worked with a few local acts, producing, mixing and mastering from the likes of Isick and Fo. Also, he has shared the stage with artists such as, Mish, Tekno, Eva Alordiah and Isick, he’s currently working with Omawumi.

"Yima Ayu, (born 26 november 1989) better known by his stage name PAPI, is a Rapper, singer/songwriter, record producer and audio engineer from Benue, Nigeria.

Papi started composing playful songs at the age of six, unbeknownst to him, he will later pursue a career in music. He is the third and a twin, of five children born to Dr. Iyorchia Ayu and Herberta Okonofua.

Having completed his education as an audio engineer at the prestigious SAE institute in London with the likes of L. Marshall, Papi decided to move back to Abuja, Nigeria to further his career in music. He has worked with a few local acts, producing, mixing and mastering fro the likes of Isick and Fo.
