Roc Nation act J.Cole is out with a new studio album in three years and he titles this body of work The Off-Season. The twelve track album had no guest appearances but with production credits attributed to Timbaland, J.Cole himself, Boi-Ida and a host of others. Check on it!

The most anticipated album of the year Colours and Sounds is finally here and of course the talented Afro House act Niniola did not disappoint. Missy Elliott Inducted Into the Songwriters Hall of Fame

The Rapper/producer/songwriter/dancer and singer Missy Elliot has become the first female rapper to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame that took place on the 13th day of June, 2019. Missy Elliot started her career in an all girl R&B group called Sista in the early 90's then she later became a member of the Swing Mob along side her childhood friend Timbaland. In the year 1997 Missy Elliot released her debut album Supa Dupa Fly which debut at #3 on the on the Billboard 200 chart and becoming the highest debut for a female rapper of that era and she has released 6 studio album in a career spanning over 20 years. Missy has gone unto producing hits records for several A-List acts such as; Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Aaliyah, Total, 702, SWV, Destiny Child,Jodeci,  Ariana Grande just to mention a few and she has had countless hits such as: Hot Boyz, All In My Grill, Get Your Freak On, One Minute Man, Work It, She's a Bitch and the list goes on. The Grammy Award winning artist is undeniably one of the best to have done it as both a performer and recording artist.

Michael Jackson New Album - XSCAPE OUT May 13th 2014

The legend lives on.... I was excited when the announcement was made of new music from the legend's estate and Epic Records of previously unreleased songs of Michael Jackson. The album which is called  'XSCAPE' is set to be released May 13th 2014.
In the news last year L.A Reid who had given unreleased materials of the legend to Ace producer Timbaland for production and with confirmation early this year Timbaland released a spinet to one of the single of the proposed album ''Slave To the Rhythm''. Now all MJ fans have something to look forward to in 2014.

XSCAPE is executive produced by Epic Records Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid, who, after an initial mining of Jackson’s archives by the Estate, was granted unlimited access to the treasures representing four decades of material on which Jackson had completed his vocals.
Reid curated the final list of recordings to deliver to the producers, who retooled the production to add a fresh, contemporary sound that retains Jackson’s essence and integrity. It’s a process Reid calls “contemporizing.” The album’s lead producer, Timbaland was one of a handful of producers Reid believed had the gravitas, depth and range to creatively engage with Jackson’s work. Additional producers include global hitmakers Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon and John McClain.
“Modern music and artistry would look and sound completely different if not for the groundbreaking contributions Michael Jackson gifted to the world,” remarked L.A. Reid. “Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with. The title of this album honors Michael’s album naming process. He always chose a song from the album to name his projects and, beginning with THRILLER, used only one word titles, each with an edgy quality to them. This is true of the new project. Written by Michael Jackson and Jerkins, and produced by Jackson and Jerkins, “Xscape” has further significance in that it is the one track on the album that was ‘contemporized’ by the producer who recorded it originally in the studio with Michael.
