White Nigerian - President ft ECO-Prod by GospelOnDeBeatz

''The newly signed Kudi Boy Music artist, White Nigerian has done it again!  As a follow up from his previous hit songs Dirty Wine ft Tekno and Barawo, he drops this new single called President. This time this party track is produced by GospelonDBeatz! Do I need to say anymore?  ECO, the Sprite Triple Slam Winner, who was featured in the song, showed that he is multi talented by singing the first part of the catchy chorus as well as raping in the second verse.

White Nigerian who is currently serving his country through the NYSC scheme is President of his Skills Acquisition Community Development Service (CDS) and I think thats what persuaded him to do this song
called President which means Shugaban Kasa in Hausa. He made history as the first full "White" to ever serve in NYSC.

Known for his rapping in pidgin english and hausa, this song is a great follow up to his previous hit songs which are making waves in clubs and radio stations nationwide and abroad!

Get your party shoes on before you listen to this track because it will definitely get you dancing!!''

SPECIAL REVIEW: TACKLING PIRACY IN NIGERIA

E-RAVE EDITORIAL (www.eraveng.com)
SPECIAL REVIEW: TACKLING PIRACY IN NIGERIA, The Approaches
When a musician puts out a self funded, self released and professional recording, everything needed to get it to the point of release comes out of that musician's pocket. Selling that product is essential to being able to keep creating music, yet many people feel no remorse for illegally pirating music or movies. Musicians/movie producers have bills to pay just like everyone else.
I'm pretty sure that the people stealing music wouldn't be too pleased if they went to work day after day but never got a paycheck for it. Creative professionals deserve to be able to make a living too.
For the people who make their living creating and selling movies, songs, the effort to stop piracy has been a constant battle. Protecting intellectual property rights requires using several different approaches while adjusting to a marketplace with a never ending appetite for new content. Even though the general public may think of piracy as a victimless crime, this form of copyright infringement damages the creative professional's ability to earn a living from his work.
The problem with Nigeria is that we make laws that are not enforced. Tackling Piracy at this time is not about making laws but going after the pirates and all their links. Money is the only thing being altered in piracy, so death penalty shouldn't be applied. Pirates should be made to pay large sums of repayment and immediate shutdown of all their activities. Automatic 10 years imprisonment, with no free pass for being underage, because it's for the war on terror, zero tolerance is also advised. Security operatives, especially Nigerian police have lots to do in this task.
Public education campaigns are typically considered the first line in the defense against piracy. To help stop piracy of DVD movies, for example, Nigerian film makers have been putting a short commercial at the beginning of select movies equating buying a pirated copy of a DVD to shoplifting. Individual artists and groups too must also enlighten their constituency about the dangers of piracy to their careers. Grassroots organizations must also work to educate the public about intellectual property rights through online marketing campaigns.
Technology has also been a key component in helping to stop piracy. In advance countries, music companies have been experimenting with ways to put anti-copying software onto the CDs they sell. Software programs can be created to require authorization codes or online registration forms that serve to make piracy more difficult because they are only given with legal copies. For downloadable content, digital rights management systems limit the number of devices that can play a particular movie or song in order to stop people from sharing unauthorized copies. On a similar note, some sites are selling downloadable files with a digital fingerprint that makes it possible to trace pirated copies back to the original source. Unfortunately, resourceful hackers and people in the piracy industry continue to find ways to get around these measures.
Lawsuits may also seem like an obvious way to stop piracy, but legal action is typically a last resort. With the global nature of the Internet, it is time consuming and expensive to track down all the parties that would be involved in a lawsuit. Piracy laws also vary from country to country, making enforcement rather difficult
Digitally, the way to stop piracy is make it easy to access content. Destroy the reason that people turn to piracy: because they want access to digital copies of movies and music. There are tons of people who would be willing to pay a monthly fee to be able to stream whatever they want whenever they want it. Not only would that be cheaper and less complicated that all this tracking and suing, it also creates a new revenue stream.

Burna Boy finally releases album - ''LIFE''

One of the most anticipated albums of the year is finally here. The versatile and talented artiste ''Burna Boy'' singed to ''Aristokrat Records'' who has a mixtape ''Burn Identity'' under his belt and has given us back to back hits over the course of two years, tracks like; ''Abeg Abeg'' ''Like to party'' ''Tonight'' Celebrate'' and recently he released a reggae track titled ''Yawa dey'' which went ballistic over the internet.
Now fans of this future of African's music as i would  loved to call him finally released his studio album two days back and if you haven't gotten your copy, you can cope it on iTunes worldwide and i am sure you wont regret it. Initially i was personally skeptical about his consistency despite the fact i loved his Fuji like sound and i was wondering if i would like to hear a full fledged album from this artiste but he kept proving me wrong after every single he releases and now his album is not any different. However, ''Burna Boy'' has some reputable features on this release from the likes of the wonder boy; ''Wizkid'', to the legend ''2Face'', to the Port harcourt boy ''Timaya'' and the rave of the moment ''Olamide'', Africa's rap messiah ''M.I'' and ''Reminice''. The album titled ''Life'' [leaving an impact for eternity] is definitely an artistic creation from this talented lad, from his album cover which kind of reminds me of Hip hop legend Nas classic debut album ''Illmatic''  to the track list which is very vital in making up an album. I would like to say it was an all round 8/10 rating for me and back to the album cover '''Burna boy'' had a faded reflection of music legends from ''Bob Marley'', to Fela Kuti'', then King Sunny Ade'' and ''2pac'' in case you failed to notice, which i consider dope and he probably is tell his fans a bit about his musical influences .
''Life'' is an impressive effort from ''Burna Boy'' which should seal him a spot on top of the food chain in the music industry and hopefully greater artistic contribution from this lad in the future. i beseech you to go out there and get a copy, which i recommend will be one of your best buy of the year 2013.

“Love In The Air”, produced by DJ Klem is a fresh and bubbly Dance tune that is just right for the Summer time with its mash-up of lush drum patterns and electronic arrangments. “Number One” which is also produced by DJ Klem sees Moses showcasing his smoother and sultry side over the slow-to-mid-tempo Jazzy Salsa number and completing the trio of new music from the Nigerian Idol winner and University of Benin graduate is none other than “Love Letter” which features the one and only Eva Alordiah and is produced by Olaitan Dada.

The dismissal of - Sargent Christopher Omoleze By The Nigerian Police Force . Where do we go from here?

A few days ago a video surfaced and went viral online about a Nigerian Police in the Lagos state command demanding bribe from a fellow citizen. Then Just yesterday the Nigerian Police Force identified this officer and the Sargent was tried within the ambit of the law and is reported to have been dismissed from the force after 21 years of service, well this may seem like the best and logical approach by the Nigerian Government/NPF to do and of course receive a pat on the back for a job Weldon. But the big question is where do we go from here as a nation? Okay thanks to social media a lot of the brouhaha that has been in existence within the Nigeria society has been brought to the light by this great medium and i am one Nigerian that is thankful for that.
However, with the dawn of this new era, little or nothing has changed regardless of social ranting  and media trends that may be generated from a social issue exposed by either a picture, a document, phone recorded video,  a live interview, or even a government decision as the case may be. Not that the Nigerian Police force shouldn't be applauded for this drastic action (at least that would send strong signals out there to other corrupt officers trying to extort citizen or take bribe, knowing fully well now that Nigerian people have the social media as their watchdog and if caught on camera, the same would be their fate like Sargent Christopher) but we need to look inward as a nation and deal with these issues from the root because our institution are in a total disarray and decay, and what we see today is just a tip of the iceberg the hopefully would not result to a Titanic situation. because it is not enough to deal with a problem by merely cutting of the branches, while the the stomp/root is the main problem. Therefore, it is paramount for the leadership of the nation i am not just talking about political leaders alone but leaders in every sphere of our lives (political, spiritual, social, business, the list is endless) you (citizen) and i not being left out, as long as you have been entrusted to do one thing or the other we are equally leaders. do we turn a blind eye when we discover corruption in an environment we find ourselves or do we turn a blind eye? well i may decide to turn a blind eye after all i am not the one perpetuating the crime, but remember it all boils down to ''cause and effect'' syndrome and will only come back and hit me/you like a boomerang.
Remember our destiny is in our hands. Let's act right!!!
