Flux Factory Presents - Music Cafe [Photos]

''The maiden edition of the Music Cafe indeed exceeded expectations as a ground breaking event for the city of Abuja and a night that would linger for a long time in the hearts of attendees as they were well treated with live music bordering around the neo soul, R&B and afro genres.
On the said event that went down on Sunday the 21st of July, guests started arriving the entrance of the Congress hall of Transcorp Hilton from a little after 4:45pm, as the red carpet reception was billed to commence for 5pm.
The Cream de la cream, business owners, On-Air Personalities (OAPs) from various urban radio stations, as well as media moguls and people from other walks of life flooded the arena, tastefully dressed and were left with chuckles on their faces; stemming from the conversation on the red carpet with Sound City's VJ Adams and treatment with various kinds of cocktails.
After some well spent time of networking and familiarizing, the attendees were ushered into the hall for the real deal.
The much anticipated event took off at 7pm with guests seated in dinner style (on tables) and the Master of Ceremony- Tyeng Gang of The Beat 97.9 FM, Ibadan mounting the stage to give all a warm welcome and introduce the live band members who were already on stage for the action. Without time wasting, he brought up the first act- Lindsey, who is popularly known as the "song bird". She took the well lit stage for a little over 25minutes, dishing out classic versions of some of her hits from the Brown EP, which include: Taxi, Drift away, to mention a few.
She was relieved by Shola Sax who held the crowd of over 200 spellbound, performing remakes of songs like Olomi (Originally done by Tosin Martins) and other classics.
Darey Art Alade was brought up stage by the MC, making a dramatic entrance from the audience and stealing the hearts of the ladies with his smooth tenor voice and great dance moves on and off stage. The Lipton ambassador started from his beginning by performing the old hit: "Escalade" and moving to his biggest hit till date; "you're not the girl", he also drifted into songs like "one love- Bob Marley", sending his performance into a crescendo with maximum crowd participation. He rounded-off with his latest single- "Special Fever" and brought up the last act- Praiz.
He kicked-off his performance with cover of Rihanna's "Stay", then "that stupid song", which he originally collaborated with Bez and then finding his way into the hearts of all and sundry with his "John Legend-ic" voice.
The Flux Factory-organized gig wrapped-up at about 9pm, with Praiz and Lindsey performing various renditions of popular hits and balloons flooding the place.
In the end, it would be safe to say that every second of the show was put to good use, corroborating the remarks of the CEO of Flux Factory, Gospelondebeatz before the event, when he said that it would be a night to remember. Adding that, Music Cafe seeks to put Abuja on the map entertainment-wise by organizing 1 (one) edition every quarter.
However, ET Quake Multimedia, Doxa digital, the PR company, Monarch designs, Sound City, Cool and Wazobia FM, Iam (events) and Jireh events were some of the partner organizations for the much-talked about event.''

Soto – ONYE EGWU [prod. by Kay-X]

''It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Soto since he dropped his acclaimed singletitled “Hustle” last year, but the young rapper more than makes up for his absence by returning with a spunky, irresistible street-banger titled “Onye Egwu“. Produced by fast-rising PH-City beat-maker, Kay-XSoto delivers his signature gritty flow; starting off as a composed, albeit cheeky word slinger before switching gears and transforming into the fire-breathing, street-smart hustler persona that he has come to be identified by.
Onye Egwu” features additional production by longtime collaboratorReflex Soundz, and with this sophomore offering, he makes no bones of his intention to stage a take-over in Nigerian hip-hop. Indeed, it would seem that spending the last year in the recording booth has seen the rebirth of the Coal City emcee as “Onye Egwu” – a personification of music itself – and if he delivers more gems such as this, very little will stand in his way. Get familiar with the future; Sotois currently signed to the fast-rising, Eon Entertainment. | ENJOY!!!''

Omisco and Dupsi - Give it to me

Banky W – Good Good Loving

''From EME Chairman and R&B Powerhouse Banky W comes the 2nd video off the R&BW album “Good Good Loving”. The video was produced and written by Banky W and he once again teams up with legendary Director Clarence Peters to bring this fun song to life…
The beautiful Dami Adegbite plays the leading lady, and the very funny Seyi Law features as the anti-hero, or “Learner” as he’s hilariously referred to in the clip. The video also features cameos from WizKid, eLDee, Skales, Lynxxx, ShayDee, Ketchup, Niyola, ‘Retta, MasterKraft, P.R.E, Emmy Ace, and more.
It’s a fun video, an interesting story line, and yet another quality EME/Capital Production.''
