The nineteen (19) track LP consist of previously released singles such as; Dangote, Anybody, Gbona and On The Low. The 19th annual BET Awards held on Sunday of 23rd June, 2019 at the Microsoft Theater Los Angeles with Regina Hall being this years host and a line up of great performances and awards to be given. There was several notable and electric performances from top artist such; Mary J. Blige, Cardi B, Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus, Migos and a host of others. While the big winners of the night were: Beyonce, Cardi B, Childish Gambino, Bruno Mars and Migos, Ella Mai with Lifetime Achievement Award going to the queen of Hip Hop/Soul, Mary J. Blige, as well as the late Nipsey Hussle posthumously honored with the Humanitarian Award. Then the category for Best International Act which comprises of artist from across Europe and Africa, saw talented act Burna Boy take home the coveted price even though he was not on stage to collect the award his mother Bose Ogulu accepted the award on his behalf by acknowledging Africa for giving him this platform and she also had this to say: ''The message from Burna, I believe will be that every black person should please remember that you were Africans before you became anything else.'' Congratulations to Burna Boy and his entire team!!!!
The HKN front man Davido who has been on a steady rise with one hit after another and of course superb videos to show for it, with today being no different as he is the 2014 BET Award recipient for Best African Act. Davido emerged winner at the event over the likes of ;Tiwa Savage, Sarkodie, Diamond Platnumz, Mafikizolo and Toofan who were in the same category. He went on Twitter to show his appreciation to all his fans and this is what he had to say below:
