Midé - Mainstream (Live @Plus11)

“With his debut album E.G garnering rave reviews and critical acclaim from fans and critics alike - SBTV describes E.G as “one of the standout projects of 2014”, Hit The Floor called the album “one of the finest, sublime pieces of original British music that has been produced in a very long time” – Soul singer, songwriter and musician Midé returns with a brand new live video of one of the album’s more popular cuts, the MTV Base playlisted “Mainstream”.
In addition to the release of his new visuals, Midé is happy to announce the addition of a new London date to his UK nationwide tour which begins in earnest on May 1 at The Ballroom in Canterbury, Kent, and now culminates in a headline concert very appropriately in his hometown London on June 3 at The Underbelly in Hoxton. Midé will also be performing dates in Nottingham, Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester and Bristol to celebrate the release of his debut album E.G.”

FOLK/SOUL SINGER MIDÉ DEBUTS NEW SINGLE "UNLIKELY"

Not waiting on the dust to settle on the success and critical acclaim of his Mainstream EP which was released three months ago to rave reviews from the likes of MTV UKSoulCulture and theMOBO Awards among several online tastemakers, British Nigerian acoustic Soul singer, songwriter and musician MIDÉ unveils his brand new single titled “Unlikely”…

Serving as the third single from his forthcoming debut album E.G, “Unlikely” sees Midé link up once again with Jonathan Owusu Yianomah who also produced “Mainstream” to bring this gloriously infectious single further to life with its fresh combination of rousing bass and electric guitar arrangements with lush drum patterns and a captivating horns section, courtesy of Signature Horns.

Over this enthralling music bed, “Unlikely” not only comes packed with compelling lyrics as we have come to expect from the London native and troubadour, it also has Midé making us swoon over his every word, with his impassioned vocal melodies and signature smooth alto notes.

“Unlikely” will be available on all digital stores on October 14 and is the final single to be released before the forthcoming debut album E.G.
