Here is a look at Andre 3000 of Outkast onscreen performance as Jimi Hendrix in director John Ridley‘s forthcoming biopic ''All Is By My Side.'' The director John Ridley from the onslaught of his screenplay for 12 Years A Slave, which still has a massive buzz over several wins at the Academy Awards which was held on the 2nd of March 2014, comes ''All Is By My Side'' which is yet to have an official release date, but the film hits the screen at the SXSW Film Festival on March 12th.
Despite challenges and lack of support from Jimi Hendrix's estate which lead to the prevention of the legendary rocker’s original songs to be featured as on the biopic, but rather features covers of rock songs played by the guitarist during the era in which the film is set, before he had achieved international fame.
As a huge fan of the legend Jimi Hendrix and a great follower of the duo Outkast i am delighted to see Andre 3000 take on this amazing role and can't wait to see the offering of this movie in 2014.
